General Knowledge
8. How to Boil Tea
- Put one package of herbs in a non-metal pan (glass, Corningware,
or ceramic).
- Add 1 1/2 cups of water.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce to a rolling boil for 3-5 minutes.
- Strain the herbs. You should have 1 cup of tea.
- Allow liquid to reach you preferred drinking temperature.
- Drink the liquid. This is one dose. (You do not have to drink
the sludge at the bottom. Return the sludge to the pan.)
- Repeat a second time using the same herbs. You will get 1 cup
of tea. Consume.
- Repeat a third time using the same herbs. You will get 1 cup
of tea. Consume.
- Discard the herbs after the third boil.
- Consume 3 doses per day, meaning you should consume a total
of 3 cups of tea each day.
Notes:
- If you are preparing two different formulas, you can place both bags
together in the pan, add 2 cups of water and boil according to the
above instructions.
- Do not take together with Western drugs. Allow two hours between drugs
and tea.
- Drink at any temperature.
- Doses can be consumed at any time of the day or evening.
- Anything can be added to the teas in order to alter the taste (e.g.
lemon, juice, honey, sugar).
- Do NOT add three times the amount of water and boil three times as
long.
- To save time, you can prepare three separate boils in a row and put
in a container to drink throughout the day.
